As I blogged in my last post Narendra Modi is all set to Become Next ( CM ) Chief Minister of Gujarat. The Most controversial CM in Indian Politics history has won Gujarat Election with 2/3 majority. BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad declared Narendra Modi as Dhoni of Gujarat BJP team and man of the match for BJP's win in Gujarat 2007 election. Out of 182 seats BJP won 118 seats. Any party require atleast 92 seats to form a government.Narendra Modi was appointed as CM of Gujarat 1st in October 2001 succeeded by then BJP chief minister Keshu bhai patel. Just after the Godhra happened. Narendra Modi won the 2002 Gujarat elections with 2/3 majority. Most people thought that BJP won the election in gujarat due to hindutva factor. But this time in Gujarat 2007 Election Narendra Modi fought the election on issues of Economic development of gujarat and Safety in the Gujarat state compared to other parts of India.
Most people feared that BJP will loose due to rebels and keshu bhai patel's saurashtra vote bank.
But Narendra Modi's BJP won more seats in Saurashtra in Gujarat Election 2007 than in Gujarat Assembly election 2002. Congress presented Dinsha Patel opposite to Narendra Modi in Maninagar seat in ahmedabad. Today when election result declared , Modi won the Maninagar Assembly seat by over 86,000 votes beating congress candidate Dinsha patel.
Narendra Modi addressed the Meeting at BJP Head quarter in Khanpur , Ahmedabad. He said It is the win of People of Gujarat. It is the win of Positivve over negative. It is the win of Gujarati asmita. All BJP leaders like Narendra Modi , Ravishankar Prasad , L.K.Advani , Atal bihari vajpayee , Arun Jaitley , vijappratap rudi etc thanked and congratulated people of gujarat for giving 2/3 majority to Narendra Modi and BJP.
Media people could not accept Narendra Modi's win in gujarat election. Instead of accepting the fact abd discussing over election result , they all started discussion on Narendra modi is thread to rajnath singh and senior BJP leaders in delhi.
