Just saw on various indian news channel that , BCCI is planning to shift IPL 2009 in South Africa. In last few days , various indian state governments has replied that they can not provide security to IPL 2009 twenty 20 tournament as the Indian General Election 2009 fall in the same month.
IPL 2009 organizing committee conducted number of meeting with home minister chidambaram , and submitted various alternative schedules for IPL 2009 series. However now the situation is that the IPL 2009 may be shifted to South Africa or London. But according to the tv reports , South Africa is the most preferred location to organise ipl 2009 series season 2 , as there is not much time different between India and South africa.
