Cyclone threatens Mumbai one-dayer

Australia's final one-day international against India is in danger of being washed out after a cyclone alert was issued in Mumbai.

Heavy rain already cancelled the first day's play between Sri Lanka and the Indian President's XI in the city today.

The bad weather has been caused by an approaching cyclone on India's west coast.

The visitors clinched the seven-match series 4-2 with a six-wicket win in Guwahati on Sunday.

Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson were earlier relieved from duty and were to travel home before the rest of the side.

Play was scheduled to begin at 8:00pm (AEDT).

Match officials decided to reserve judgment on conditions until 5:00pm local time (10:00pm AEDT), after which they will make an inspection followed by a decision about the possibility of any play.
