Orrisa chief Minister Navin Patnaik resigns to enable formation of a new Council of Ministers following the General Elections 2009.
The Governor has accepted the resignation and requested Naveen Patnaik and his colleagues in the Council of Ministers to continue in Office until alternative arrangements are made.
On the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in its meeting held on 14.05.2009. The Governor has been pleased to dissolve the Orissa Legislative Assembly.
