Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai has announced its executive MBA programme in Energy Management for working professionals who are interested to make career in energy management field. Making India energy independent will be one of the priorities in the coming years, says Dr Bala V Balachandran, founder and dean of the institute. “With this priority in mind an executive MBA in energy management under the aegis of CT Bauer College, University of Houston will be started in July later this year.
This is one of the top programs in the US and will be open to senior energy managers in India and Southeast Asia,” he said.Executives taking this course will attend classes for nine-day stints, eight times over two years with the final 17-day programme in the US. The faculty will be a mix of Indian and the source-university professionals and the University of Houston will award the degree. This two-year course will cost Rs 13.5 lakh.
